"MOSCOW IN MINIATURE" We stayed here in September 2001 and things may have changed since then. However, this hotel represented all that was great about our Moscow experience. The hotel faced the Exhibition Park and the Space Needle monument and being on the 23rd floor we had great views. There were variously themed bars, restaurants and shops on different floors that were open what seemed like all hours! The foyer area was the most glitzy part of the hotel but the rooms themselves were very basic - this last adding to our Russian experience! Apparently this hotel was the French olympic team hotel for the Moscow Olympics. The staff were very friendly and spoke english. Staying here allowed us to negotiate our way (with the help of a guide initially) into central Moscow via the Subway quickly and easily. By the end of a few days we felt we could live in Moscow! Overall a great experience. While we normally go for big chain hotels this trip showed us that a great hotel needn't only be about expensive furnishings. I don't think that a "fancy" hotel would have done Moscow justice for us. This was our best holiday to date.

"Moscow Again!" We stayed at the Cosmos in July 2003 as part of a tour of Eastern Europe & Russia. The hotel was all it promised to be. The food was great & varied. The rooms were comfortable & clean. It was easy to get to the centre of Moscow from the hotel & the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from our room ( which was about half way up) was spectacular. We loved Moscow & the hotel enhanced our experience there. The next trip to Moscow will also see us staying at the Cosmos.
